Using this site

Short version: the code is yours to use freely, the writing stays mine, and none of it is a guarantee.

Code samples

Every code snippet in the Learn tracks, the Tips feed and the Lab write-ups is free to use in anything, including commercial work, with no attribution required. Treat them as public domain.

They come with no warranty. Snippets are written to teach one idea clearly, which sometimes means leaving out error handling that production would need. Read them before you ship them.

Writing and design

The prose, the case studies and the visual design of this site are mine. Quote a paragraph with a link back and we are fine. Republishing whole articles, or feeding them into a product, is not.

Accuracy

Everything here reflects what I believed to be true on the date it was published. Software moves; some of it will age badly. Where a lesson depends on a specific version, it says so. If you find something wrong, email me — I will fix it and note it in the changelog.

Not advice

Nothing here is professional, legal or security advice for your specific situation. The authentication material in particular describes general practice; your threat model is your own. If the stakes are high, hire someone to review it properly.

Client work

Nothing on this site is an offer or a contract. Engagements are governed by a separate written agreement signed by both parties.
