Last updated 28 Jul 2026Site changelog
01Building
- Ledgerline — adding recurring invoices and a proper dunning schedule.
- This site. The Lab demos are new and the search across tips is next.
02Learning
- Postgres logical replication, properly rather than by cargo cult.
- How far full-text search in Postgres goes before a dedicated engine earns its cost.
03Reading
- Designing Data-Intensive Applications — third time through, chapter 7 onward.
- The Postgres source for the planner. Slow going and worth it.
04Not doing
- Taking on more than one client build at a time. It made everything worse the one year I tried it.
- Rewriting anything that works.
This is a now page. The idea is a public answer to “what are you up to these days?” that is honest about its own expiry date.
